Size and Power
At 1200mm, this thing covers a lot of ground. It’s perfect if you’re looking to swap out old lamps in a large drying or curing oven without having to rebuild the whole rig. We pushed 1500W through it, but we did it in a way that spreads the heat evenly. No one wants those annoying hot spots that warp your materials and ruin a whole batch. Just a quick heads-up: double-check your power supply. You want to make sure it can handle the draw across that full length so you don’t end up with a voltage drop at the ends.
Why the Ruby Color?
It looks cool, sure. But the ruby coating is actually doing the heavy lifting. It acts like a filter. Instead of just blasting the surface with short-wave radiation—which usually just burns the top layer—it pushes the energy deeper into the part. You get a thorough heat-soak without the charred edges. Plus, we used halogen technology. The tungsten evaporates and then settles back onto the filament, which means the lamp lasts way longer than your basic incandescent tubes. It’s just a smarter way to build a heater.
Getting it Running on the Floor
We kept the connectors standard because nobody has time for a headache during maintenance. You want fast swaps, and that’s what you get. One big tip:**keep your fingers off the glass.**Seriously. When you’re installing it, avoid touching the quartz. The oils from your skin create tiny hot spots, and when that glass hits high temps, those spots can cause the whole tube to crack. Use gloves or a clean cloth. And since 1500W puts out a massive amount of heat, give the thing some breathing room. If you cram these lamps in too tight without any airflow, you’ll fry your connectors or trip your sensors. Keep it ventilated, and the system will stay happy.
