Instead of just warming the surface of your material, it puts out short-wave infrared radiation that actually sinks deep inside. It’s the difference between a warm breeze and a heat lamp that actually penetrates. And since it runs on 220V, you can just plug it into most industrial grids. No need to mess around with bulky, annoying step-down transformers. Why it doesn’t just burn out Normally, tungsten likes to evaporate and gunk up the glass, which kills your heat output. We fixed that with a halogen gas fill. It basically scrubs the tube clean as it works, so the lamp stays clear and the wattage stays steady. We also used quartz glass. Why? Because these things take a beating. You can flip the power on and off all day long and the glass won’t crack from the thermal shock. Just a heads-up: make sure your mounting brackets aren’t squeezing the glass too tight, or you’re asking for trouble. A few things to watch out for If you’re swapping out an old mid-sized IR heater, this should slide right in. But here’s the thing: 1500W is a lot of energy in a small space. Check your reflectors. If they’re warped or dusty, you’re basically throwing heat away. Also, be careful with your conveyor speed. This lamp is fast.**Really fast.**If your parts move too slowly, you’ll end up scorching your materials. Make sure your control system can switch quickly so you don’t accidentally cook your workpiece.
