Getting the power right
When it comes to curing, it’s all about the ratio of wattage to length. To get that rapid cure, you need high-wattage tubes packed into a short space. It’s about intensity. But you have to be careful with the voltage. If you run a high-wattage tube on a voltage that’s too low, you’ll never hit the temperature needed to trigger the chemical reaction in your coating. You’re just wasting time. On the flip side, if you over-volt it? You’ll pop the filament instantly.Boom. Gone.
The guts of the lamp
We use high-purity quartz glass because we want as much IR energy as possible to get through. Inside, we use a halogen-filled cycle. Basically, as the tungsten evaporates, it redeposits itself back onto the filament. This stops the lamp from turning dark and keeps your output steady for thousands of hours. And don’t worry about the wiring. Whether you need R7s or SK15 connectors, we’ve got you covered. It just plugs into your existing controllers. No custom adapters, no headaches.
Using them in the real world
If you’re running PET blowing or powder coating lines, these are your bread and butter. They’re designed to be drop-in replacements. You shouldn’t have to redesign your entire oven footprint just to swap a lamp. One quick tip, though: the more heat you pack in, the harder your reflectors have to work. If your reflectors are dirty or pitted, you’re losing a huge chunk of that heat flux. Not only does that kill your efficiency, but it can actually cause the lamp to overheat.**Keep them polished.**It’s the easiest way to make sure you’re getting every bit of wattage you paid for.
